Lake Eber: It was once a bird’s paradise and a garden adorned with water flowers on its surface, but today it is so polluted that it cannot be approached. The biggest threats to Lake Eber are the wastes of Afyon city, the dairy industry and the wastes of the Sugar and Alkoloid Factories.

Another threat is that the wastes accumulate in the Eber Lake and serve as a treatment for the lake, and therefore the drainage of the clean water to the Aksehir Lake. The depth of the lake has fallen to 1.70 meters today. It is a fact that it will fall further if the measure is not taken.
